Easy Tips to Save Money When Preparing for Baby!

Easy tips to use with EACH pregnancy

Looking to save a few extra bucks when preparing for your little bundle's arrival? Consider these tips:

  1. Sign up to join the Enfamil family: Receive a complimentary box of formulas as your due date approaches to try with your little one. Are there benefits to breast feeding? Yes, absolutely. Are all mommas able to breastfeed? No. AND THAT IS ALSO OK! Hear it again momma, THAT IS OK! It seems to be a trend in society to shame mothers that are not able to breastfeed or that chose to go the formula route. I'm just here to say, formula is expensive so why not utilize what they are offering?! Avoid societal pressures and take advantage of this amazing offer!
  2. Create a baby registry: Yes, yes you can do this for each baby. Most registries will offer a percentage of savings for items on the registry purchased after a certain date that is closer to your due date. Amazon's user-friendly registry offers an easy suggestion list of items to add plus your desired items. Next, spend $10 on registry items. Then request your free welcome box. I was sent: a lactation cookie sample, herbal tea samples to boost milk production, a Philips bottle, a Dr. Brown's bottle, an adorable onesie, a swaddle and a pile of coupons. This is by no means a greedy move to get people to buy for you, but rather a way for you to utilize a percent savings on items you'd be buying anyway.
  3. Nanobebe free sample kit: This one I stumbled upon but loved that they sent a sample silicone baby bottle, sample breastmilk storage bags and a pacifier.
  4. Ask around: Put it out there to friends and social media what you are in search/need of. Mommas come out of the woodwork to help other mommas. You never know who is looking to give away this or that to another momma in need ... likely to pay it forward for their own acceptance once upon a time.
  5. Explore consignment sales: Hit up the "Just Between Friends" consignment sales or local consignment shops. I have literally purchased name brand items for less than $5 with the original tags still in place. Bonus, you're helping out your local stores and families.
  6. Empty diaper bag for the hospital: All items brought into your room during your hospital stay get tossed when they clean the room upon your discharge. So, fill your bag with the remaining diapers, wipes, creams, pacifiers, pads, etc.
  7. Maximize your insurance benefits: Subject to each insurance specifications, they cover a breast pump for you. One insurance we had stated one pump per YEAR where our current insurance states one pump per PREGNANCY. There are a handful each time that are covered in full and others that may be partially covered. 1NaturalWay made it very easy to quickly see what offerings my insurance had.
  8. Take advantage of discount codes:
  9. 10% off Dreamland Baby: https://dreamlandbabyco.com/?ref=EMILYAJACOBSON&view=sl-2347CF68
  10. $5 off at Intimate Rose for self care products: intimaterose.com/EMILY127

I hope these have been helpful, no go have fun preparing for baby!
